Welcome to the Urban Ag Lab at the School of Environmental Sciences at Rutgers.  The Urban Ag Lab continues the work started by the Office of Agriculture and Urban Programs. Its mission is to support academic and outreach efforts that connect urban and suburban communities with agriculture and open space in order to enhance the economy, landscape, and culture of New Jersey. Working with faculty, staff, and students from multiple disciplines in SEBS and Rutgers at large, as well as with Rutgers Cooperative Extension, OAUP serves farmers seeking to develop urban agriculture enterprises, urban non-profit organizations pursuing local food production, municipalities and organizations wanting technical assistance in green infrastructure and open space planning, and students eager to engage in sustainable planning, design, and implementation projects on campus and in their communities.
